Our products and services are designed to have immediate instructional impact, regardless of the ELL curriculum or program a district offers. To do this, we must work closely with building and district leaders, ESOL/ELL administrators, and curriculum specialists to understand their unique needs, and the best way to model and implement the A+RISE strategies.

A+RISE Training for Teachers: K-12 Strategies
Cohort size: 30 participants
Mainstream teachers will develop skills and strategies to integrate A+RISE Standards2Strategy into their daily instruction across the content areas through:

  • Modeling best practices and informal assessments for improving the achievement of English Learners
  • Identifying strategies for developing academic language and making content comprehensible
  • Directed implementation examples across the content areas
  • Incorporating standards-aligned strategies into lesson plans

A+RISE Advanced Product Training for Secondary Content Teachers
Cohort size: 30 participants
Each training session provides content teachers with the knowledge and skills they need to use the A+RISE high-yield, research-based instructional strategies to unlock their content for English Language Learners. Participants will learn how to use the A+RISE Standards2Strategy online resource in a particular subject area classroom setting by:

  • Developing highly practical, content-specific strategies built on site through hands-on activities
  • Addressing English Language Proficiency Standards for each subject
  • Targeting A+RISE strategies to precise content area instruction
