We begin all of our district implementations with customized, on-site training.  Why?

1. Quality Professional Development changes teacher behavior: According to the standards of the National Staff Development Council (NSDC), quality professional development is a critical ingredient to successful teaching, and to successful student learning. And studies show that sustained, high-quality professional development is a major factor in teacher confidence, job satisfaction and retention.
2. The Unique Needs of School Districts. No two school districts are alike, and a cookie-cutter approach to ELL instruction is simply not advisable, and will not give you the results you seek.

• Cultural conditions and local history
• Number of ELLs

A+RISE Instructional Strategy Workshop™

A one-day workshop guides teachers to a thorough understanding of the A+RISE Instructional Strategy Cards and the accompanying Standards2Strategy Index. Teachers receive simple, one-page rubrics for:

• language acquisition
• proficiency levels
• interpersonal and academic language development
• informal and in-class assessments for ELLs
• Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing continuum

A+RISE Trainer of Trainers Program:

For larger district implementations of the A+RISE Instructional Strategy cards and software, the A+RISE training staff will train and provide on-going coaching for local district trainers.
